Autism Film Program for Military Children

Registration is now open!

ACT Today! and Cox Communications are proud to announce that registration for the 2nd Annual Autism Film Program for Military Children is now open! Apply now, before the program is full!

This is a two-week instructional film program facilitated by Joey Travolta from Inclusion Films. It is open to military families impacted with autism and their siblings ages 9-21 years old. Military service members may be active, retired, guards and/or reserves. Proof of service must be provided. During the two-week program, participants will work in a small group setting to create a short film that will later be premiered with a red carpet arrival at the San Diego Film Festival in October 2013.

This program is free yet there is a one time administrative fee of $50 per participant (and $25 for each additional sibling), due by June 10th. Priority enrollment is given to military children with autism and their siblings living in the San Diego area who have not previously participated in this program.

Joey Travolta from Inclusion Films facilitates the program along with his professional crew of filmmakers who are experienced at teaching individuals with disabilities. This experience will give participants the opportunity to work with professional filmmakers, promote creativity, build self-esteem, and may lead to lasting friendships.
